GRIN latest news. PART 2 As promised, here are the rest of my notes from my recent conversation with the GRIN CFO. * FURBY: GRIN expect to start distributing the French-speaking Furby into Quebec during the third quarter. He expects that this will produce a nice boost to Furby sales as the French-speakers there have a strong preference for toys with French speech capability, though even the English Furby has been selling in the French districts. He mentioned some other Furby offshoots but I didn't get the details. * POKEMON: They have just recently acquired the character license for Pokemon which will allow them to use it on their non-toy products (stationery etc). * Q2 EARNINGS: An unfair question I suppose, as the quarter has over 2 weeks still to run. Anyway, I asked and at this point, he thinks they will show a profit and be ahead of last year's 1c. Frank
