You are wrong, JFreddy. The Evil Emile is an excellent representation of narrow-mindedness. Man has an infinite capacity for rational thought. But this rationalism is dependent on the fundamental premise one choses to accept as axiomatic. If the premise is faulty, that is, based on myth, fantasy, delusion, etc..., then one is free to choose from the historical baggage whatever fits the schematic. There is enough history for all of us to rationalize whatever if the premise is faulty. |
