Scott, exactly right.

Dell is a hunter that stalks it's prey only to attack at the
optimal time.

The only problem with this strategy is investors lose patience,
become confused, and feel that Dell is falling behind when
competitors announce unique new products or initiatives that
may or may not have any profit potential.

This strategy is so simple, obvious and easy to understand that
it goes right over the head of most... even Dell's competitors.

One only has to compare the last 5 years worth of earnings
statements of Dell and it's competitors to see how patience
and selective targeting pays off.
