edamo, it is good to post a tiny note to such a prodigious thinker. One thought to bear in mind is that no company can copy the Deming model because it is built from the ground up for all businesses with untold numbers of details and choices. It does not come out of a canned software program box and involves all employees. Technology to go to the moon has been around for a long time but it is another thing to do it 7 days a week 365/year for years while growing at >40% compounded in the toughest market. Credit is due to any company that can compete with Dell. Do you know of any that come close to match its efficiency? Even though Deming (an American) taught the Japanese (who learned and taught us its value) Dell is walking away with the market growth. And that reflects the real jewel with any model-execution.
