An excerpt from the CF email June 15, 1999 .....
This may make some of you mad, but I am considering by the end of the summer, if not sooner, totally getting rid of the OTC BB stocks. I might throw in one or two every now and then for excitement. But people, hear me out on this. Almost all of the OTC market that you know today will be gone within 8 months. Why? Because theSEC is cracking down and the deadline is Feb 2000 for the stocks to be filing. 95% of them don't plan on it. This means that a stock you might own, say XYZR trading at $4 is an OTC BB not filing. You own tons of shares. One day, when the SEC is done (you won't know what is going on), the stock will not open and the b/a will be 0. You are left with NOTHING! I do not want this to happen to ANYBODY. That would be horrible. So, I will probably be focusing on more Small-Cap, NASDAQ or listed stocks. Still low priced, but filing with the SEC and are "gems." GOCA, MXNT, CVIA are all fine! They are already filing or in the process of it as we speak. I am just so sick and tired of the lying, bs, cheating, hype, scams that go on in the OTC market, that I am tired of getting emails about these stocks. It is a bunch of scum and trash that I don't want to deal with. I don't want to be the one getting the finger pointed at when these stocks open a 0 one day. That is why I am taking steps now to warn all of you about this. I know there are many newbies in the Club. Take me seriously. I can give you links, phone numbers, anything you want. We need, solid, safe, HONEST investments. Small-Caps are my game (or "gems" as I call them) I like undiscovered stocks with potential, because I am a researcher by nature. This is my game. So, that is my plan for the future. Things might start happening quickly. I might open the Club to let people out who don't like this and those in who do....Some people have wanted me to make all my comments exclusively private, NO SI, and stay home and daytrade for a subscription fee. I appreciate the generous offer, but I have school and work right now...Give me one year, and if I'm still rocking and rolling, I might jump for it :)
Wow, what a long explanation. Guys, I am doing it for you and I am trying very hard to educate and protect you all. I truly do have a concern for every one of you. Unlike most groups, I know most of you by your first name!!!
I am opening this up for you all's opinions to, those of you that are on the CF Resarch team or not....Any suggestions? Agree? Disagree?
