Some other facts of interest: - All the words ever spoken by human beings to date -> estimated at 5 exabytes. - Three years ago, the total archived data of the NYSE was one petabyte. - CERNs Large Hadron collider will crank out 20 petabytes of particle data every three years. - The total amount of networked data increases by 4 orders of magnitude every 10 years.
