I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but but NT 4.0 won't see many new video cards without you having installed Service Pack 3 first. I suggest installing SP5 however.

As someone else mentioned, NT 4.0 doesn't have that plug & play support that 95/98 has. However, taking into account overall stability, security, and performance...NT takes the cake.

Also check the NT HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) to ensure that the hardware you are using is supported by NT.
