It's been a while since I read The Nature Of Risk, but it can best be described as dealing with the market from a philosophical/technical point of view. The author is a veteran of the markets and writes from his own experience.

Really, a very well done and worthwhile read. It was last seen in paperback, and I'm surprised it's out of print.
