maroon, WHICH key systems need RDRAM bandwidth? Why dedicate multiple RDRAM busses at a large price for little return? Later this year you will see graphics subsystems which use multiple DRDRAM busses dedicated to the various framebuffer components and texture memory. These systems may also include another DRDRAM bus connecting the CPU to main memory. DRDRAM busses are not expensive. They cost considerably less than SDRAM busses, because there are fewer wires.
