Is there just one L Star satellite sitting around half built on the shop floor? Has it been written off? I would think that with the uptick in Asian markets (if it is not a total sucker's rally), L Star might actually make it to the launch pad within 12 months. Any thoughts?

Two actually--one further along than the other. It would be a surprise if they actually went forward with it. There has always been a lot of talk about this service, and little action since the M-Group bailed. It is a joint venture, and Loral is a partial owner. At one point, I think Echostar was a partial owner as well. I thought these were 16 transponder sats, in contrast to the "one sat with 32 transponders" that they mention in the article. Perhaps Loral could use the capacity to serve the Modi joint venture in India that recently moved forward a bit? We'll see.
