I thought everyone on this thread knew all about merced and the other chips. That is why for a long time i have been blown away by all the grief the amd longs take for amd's missteps. INTC, lately, is really not that much better in executing but they have a lot of $ and so can weather there screwups plus there has been no one on their heels in terms of competition until amd and the k-6 and k-7. That it is why the k-7 has the potential to rock intc's world. If you crunch the numbers, the greater potential upside is with amd. And let me assure you, i suspect all of intc is not happy with this turn of events And it is why i put in an order to buy more amd this am.. ted
