When I was in college in the late 60's, there were rumors floating around that one of the big tobacco companies had registered trademarks for names such as "Panama Red" and "Acapulco Gold". In the event that marijuana became legalized, they were set to go. Pick up a pack at your local grocer. LOL!!

Re: Alcohol and minors. In France, for example, children are given a glass of wine with meals at a very young age. I doubt that the preponderance of alcoholism in their society is any greater than our own. One beneficial consequence is that they have a lower rate of heart disease than the US, in spite of indulging in a high saturated fat diet.

Republicans pay lip service to free enterprise but their heart is in their repressive social agenda. Democrats pay lip service to civil liberties but their heart is in socialistic, welfare state programs. The common link between the two major parties is their desire to use the power of government to force their agenda on the populace. And our constitutionally guaranteed rights slowly slip away. Libertarians are the only ones who consistently advocate freedom (not anarchy) across the board.

Dan B is right, freedom does work!
