In actuality, there are very few online casinos grossing over $5 million per month. The bottom line for the few that are may be small due to the correlation of promotional expenditures to gross revenue. Many entrepreneurs have the misguided notion that purchasing Internet casino franchises for anywhere from $19,000 to $800,000 or more are the ticket to great riches while in fact it's actually possible to lose money if the site isn't promoted and managed astutely. In the good old days of three years ago, when there were so few places to gamble online, COSP reportedly ramped up to $5 million within a few months. While the Internet gaming business is on a high growth curve, it's also being met with competition so I believe along with many others who consult in this industry that incentive marketing will have a dampening effect on the high profit margins assumed to be the norm in this business. That doesn't mean that venues like CSIN will not be lucrative, it's just that investor expectations may be unreasonably high. With the shear number of franchises being cranked out, I believe the best potential for investors lies with the development companies who tend to profit from multiple revenue streams and not just gaming profits.
