I wonder how high rates would have to go for him to say "Buy 30 yr strip zeros" with IRA money? My take is he likes bonds for income and feels the inflation premium makes up for the increased risk. The risk is Key as my money placed in GNMA in Dec has been worse than dead... You don't lose much, but miss on interest earnings is the downside. Going longer term and you can get hurt. I think he made a very clear explaination of it recently. regards Kirk out
