I think a study would be conducted by a potential buyer to determine where the cost now and savings started immediately would cross the purchase of a cheaper more efficient unit in a few years. Then the buy now or wait decision would at least be calculated or educated estimate based. If many decide to wait, volume will go up slowly so prices wil be slow to rise. Are we to count on governmental mandates to get all of this moving? Will loss leader sales be offered? I am a believer in the fuel cell, hydrogen economy movement, I really want to see the pragmatic application of them take off. I'm looking for the really pragmatic reasons for a municipality or large user to energy to buy in to the program. So I would like to see some test results with the economics properly presented to find the pragmatic reasons for going this way now rather than later.
