There has been too much happiness here of late. So....

The IPO form RHAT filed with the SEC is the first time the GNU General Public Liscense has been printed in a document sent to the SEC. How will the GPL effect Red Hat's ability to function as a big market capitalization make-the-shareholders-rich sort of company?

Is there a danger that if RHAT is "too successful" the linux community that now gives it strenght will turn on it like a pack of scorned lovers?

Is it a better to invest in RHAT or toss your money into a CD-Burner and start selling your own copies of Linux? Anyone here can take the source code for Red Hat Linux, compile it themselves, and sell it with their own support package.

The GNU GPL can be found at www.gnu.org or at the bottom of the SEC paperwork on the IPO. If you haven't read the GPL, you shouldn't invest in Red Hat.
