I have my doubts about the objectivity of the WSJ and NYT... ...when it comes to reporting on Kleiner Perkins and their keiretsu. I don't know if it an East coast vs West coast thing, or what the underlying source of the animosity is. Recall the hatchet job the WSJ did on HLTH last September, which contributed to their decision to yank their IPO. Paul Gigot appears to hate John Doerr's guts. As far as I have read (I have a news tracker set on John Doerr, among other people and companies) Doerr never tried to sponsor or support legislation against Y2K lawsuits. Gigot beats Doerr up for not succeeding at something that he was never trying to do in the first place. It is massive project to prove media bias, but I have been tuned into this for a couple years. It is rare for the WSJ to have a kind word for anything having to do with Kleiner Perkins. So I take the WSJ appraisal of Drugstore.com with a grain of salt. JMHO, Tom
