a long-overdue thank you for your response. my, how overcome by events we are in such a brief fortnight. will someone sensible stop this carousel? my head's spinning.

one question: hypothetically speaking, if shareholders approve QWST's buyout of USW, couldn't USQwest potentially own a slice of global crossing (i.e., given USW is buying 9.5% ahead of the GBLX merger)?
