Yes, I agree. Minitel has outlived it's prime.

However, the French Telco had elevated it to the status of the ultimate terminal. (They also elevated Jerry Lewis to Comedy Godhood.)

However, once the French Telco starts administrering themselves to the people of France as the ultimate ISP, what will they use for an internet terminal?

Something as simple to connect as the minitel? Just one power-plug and a phone cord like the minitel? Build-in screen like the minitel?
