ted - Re: Great link...i am not familiar with anandtech. Are they pretty credible?

'They' is a high school kid (here in the US, btw). Oops... Not really high school anymore. He starts college next semester. My impression of AnandTech (from following the site pretty much since its conception) is that Anand is _very_ hard working. His industry contacts are also extremely good. Therefore, when Anand makes a comment like the one cited, I would tend to say that it is definitely 'pretty credible'. IMH(and not completely unbiased)O, AnandTech's weakest point is benchmarking. (E.g.) Up until very recently, all of AnandTech's AMD benchmarks were flawed. He admitted that was the case (after 7 or 8 months of constant reader bombardment alerting him to the fact), but never explained what the problem was and never took down the flawed numbers. Recently, however, his benchmarks seem to have gotten better, but to be honest, I would always want to find confirmation elsewhere.
