Paul,

> Let's look at Alpha PRESENTs - why isn't anybody buying it?

Easy.. not much compelling there. BUT your assumption that no
one or few are buying XP1000s is incorrect. Let's look at where
Alpha will be in a few months compared to other RISCs, x86 and
Merc_yI'mD_ed ... EV68 at 150 mm2 and 1000 MHz 60+ SpecInt, 85+ SpecFp
things suddenly become more compelling at a $3500 price point..
until then .. it is a given Alpha is good but not great. 1Q 2000
Alpha has a very compelling advantage versus the others, price and
performance wise.

Tell me about the Merced workstation prospects. How is that $9000
Merced workstation looking? Speaking of Merced, are you still
confident it will tape out by end of June? Saw that in one of your
posts... speaking of tape out.. didn't it tape out already at the
end of last month?

Merced September samples or October samples?
