I've got some news about the new store. Hold on to your hat. International Toys has the premier location in the entire Venetian "Grand Canal Shoppes" mall. I kid you not!! We are the first store that anyone who enters the casino sees. Every guest who enters from the strip entrance will see the large Toys International store with it's two large toy soldiers in the front window. It is right next to the entrance to the casino and next door to a Brookstone store. (Have you ever seen the incredible volumn those stores get?) The mall opened today at noon, but most of the stores are still finishing, painting and stocking. I did look through the crack in the curtain to our store and saw a store that was all ready to open. It was a very large store compared to most of the other stores in the mall. The shelves looked stocked with all kinds of colorful toys and games and the staff was scurrying around. They looked like they were doing last minute prep to open and I would not be surprised to see them be one of the very first to open later this afternoon. I cannot emphasize enough the fact that our little toy store has the BEST LOCATION in the entire mall. The foot traffic should be incredible. I will once again be buying more stock in the morning. I'll let you know what I see once they open. OT I am here with my mom who just celebrated her 90th birthday. I had to drag her off the machines at 2 AM this morning.
