In response to Ron and Fli re:MM's and their trading patterns,my friend has e-mailed me.He says that MM's(on Nasdaq anyways) are not required to show the bid /ask of an investor, even if it's below the current ask,or above the current bid price. He asked his broker why,and was told,"because they don't have to".Hope this info provides some insight into the inner workings of the trading system.
Re:the concerns of Ron,Jorj, and DaiTn,let me just say I enjoyed these last few posts by all, as I believe it exemplifies our continued ability to objectively examine BETT.I also wish to say I respect the quality of these posts, and the consideration given by each investor toward the other.I too believe in critical examination.I also tend to agree with DaiTn,when I say I'am not comfortable with losing or surprises.
Do I believe that there is something nefarious afoot in the management of BETT? No-I believe that there is a genuine concern for shareholders by CEO Tom at this time.I also believe that Tom has a right to prosper(relative to risk)right along side with the shareholders.I have no problem with that. How many of us only labor out of love?I know that's not my only reason for working at what I do.Now ,at some point if I do believe that moves are made that do not have the shareholders best interest at heart,I will take my ball and move on.
Ron-I sense some frustration with your last few posts re:not only management's decisions, but with the share price as well.I wish I could provide you with hard and fast answers concerning the trading and the market at this time, but I can't.Historically, the summers are brutal for OTCBB's.At this point,(as objectively as I can)I really feel that BETT has held up fairly well considering all the factors.I also believe that many investors are waiting to see rev./earnings numbers before diving in deeper with many of these internet/gaming stocks.I know of a couple of my friends(with fairly deep pockets)who are waiting at this point. Will they wait too long and miss the boat?Time will tell.
Again though, let me congratulate you guys for the courage to engage in respectful, yet critical discourse re:the topic at hand.It says a lot about the quality of this board-and it's posters.Go BETT!
Happy Returns-
stevek.
