I have heard the argument you are raising many times, about AOL being the internet on training wheels, for beginners, etc. And that as internet maturity grows, users will flow to the web instead of to proprietary services.

I did not make that argument. I said *I* prefer the web, and that there are plenty of people who still need "training wheels".

I said nothing about AOL losing those people in the future. They will be AOL's to keep or lose depending on how good a job AOL does at making AOL a "special" place where people want to be.
