Yes, of course friendships can cross over the line w/o talking dirty. (It's cute of you to write "so-called 'talking dirty'"-- I assumed the 'so-called' part, I hope you know, and used the phrase humorously.) The romantic enters, a form of romantic love. Which can be sweet and innocent, but might well disturb a spouse, such as your sister, if this is the sort of relationship in which your brother in law is engaged. If he hides it from her, there is reason to believe it is at least of this romantic sort. I wouldn't be surprised if your brother in law had to take a business trip soon. Of course, it might just be to the motel downtown. Did you say his woman friend is married?
