They are the second largest supplier of VSATs in the world, just behind Hughes Network Systems. The Spacenet acquisition gives them the synergy required to be an end-to-end system supplier which they badly needed for turnkey jobs. You are right that Spacenet has not been profitable in the past, but I believe there are corporate resources and talent available now which can make it a success. Their products are certainly leading edge. You forgot to mention the US Post Office contract which will involve tens of thousands of units. I don't think Gilat is providing funding to the US Post Office for this (actually, I believe they are subcontracting to MCI on that job). So I don't think it's quite so negative. IMO
