<IMHO, CMGI investor can get 3-5 IPO shares for every 100 CMGI shares he/she owned. >

Well thought-out post, Larry.

However, if your prediction is correct, I am a little disappointed. If your high end prediction is correct, one would need 2k cmgi to purchase 100 of the ipo at the ipo price. If your low end prediction is correct, one would need 3.33k cmgi to purchase the same.

One can do better than that thru WIT or EGRP when they are offering ipos. I don't know the particulars, as I have only a very small account with the latter, but my impression is that it's often not very hard to pick up 100 ipo shares when they are offered.

I own a good chunk of cmgi, but if you are correct, it would not produce more ipo shares through cmgi than if I had a moderate-sized account at WIT or EGRP. Doesn't strike me as much of a perk, frankly.
