It's blocking out the sun!
This news.com article alerted me to the fact that IBM has come out with two new monster hard drives. You can read about it on IBM's site here. The two new models are the Deskstar 37GP, a 37 gig 5400 rpm drive, and the Deskstar 34GXP, a 34 gig 7200 rpm drive. A short perusal of the IBM site revealed no pricing information, but the news.com piece claimed the 37 gig model had an ESP of $420. The drives also support the ATA/66 spec and have sustained transfer rates of 19.9 MB/s (37GP) and 22.9 MB/s (34GXP). Everybody say it with me now: daaaaaaaamn. -Dr. Evil

This means that my next HDD could be more than 10 times the size of my present one (3.2G) (Still may go with a 8G for ~$120)
