The voice service over the same line is perfect. Also, the installer got speeds of 1.2 megabytes when he checked it. It is interesting that the roadblocks now seem to be the destination servers.

They gave me an Alcatel ADSL modem.

I'm in New Orleans.

Anyone out there know the websites for me to check my ADSL speeds? I'm getting too old and wizened to risk screwing things up with new programs or altering settings and then having to spend a half hour on hold with some technical guy to rectify things.
