I never ever said or implied in anyway that cable modems threatened anything. It is clear to MOT, COMS, USR, COX, Sunny, myself and many more...that cable modems are another vehicle to and from the internet. Again Dwight pay attention, no one is looking for only one means to access the internet!!
If you want to know why USR is building 56K modems...just visit their web site, as you are well aware...we ALL already know the answer to that, Cowell and company has said it time & time again. Don't behave like this Dwight you're really reaching here.
It is very small and childish of you to say COMS & USR are building cable modems because the cable companies want to conduct more trials, SO stop it Dwight you're sounding stupid.
What ever @home is...it doesn't relate to this conversation, we are talking about on ramps and off ramps to the internet NOT differant internet services. As I said Dwight you are grabbing at straws to support the foolish position you've taken.
Should you be receptive (which I doubt),may I suggest you give this one a rest.
