Seattle, Washington June 17, 1999. Global business Information Directory, Inc. ("Global") (OTCBB: GBDI) today announced the availability of Version 2.0 of its business search engine at www.gbid.com. Added features in this new version include the re-categorization of the underlying data, addition of a Canadian database, expansion of the industry search capability, improved page layout and pop up “tool tips”.

Global has re-categorized its initial database, increasing industry category coverage from 40-50% to 80-90%. In addition the industry search capability has been increased and company name search added in order to enhance the user's ability to more effectively access the data.
The addition of the Canadian database is in line with the Company's goal to be continually seeking and upgrading new data sources in order to increase its coverage both domestically and worldwide.
