Thank you for the very interesting link! I was unware of Mandelbrot's article till Per on the MB thread pointed it out to me. I am also not up-to-date with Chaos Theory. I asked some of my economist friends (both in the academia and in the financial industry) about the Mandelbrot article and the reaction was neutral to negative. But second hand information never satisfies me, so I will do some reading over the weekend and post a followup.

A cursory glance through the article in the link, however, seems to me to be a product of a priori rejection of EMH that was waiting for a tangential article in partial support to show up (the Scientific American article in this case).

But I will post a complete followup sometime during the weekend.
