The RMBS board thinks this is positive as it starts the RDRAM roll out slowly and then the upgraded speeds are pushed out. They think it is a good marketing strategy. Also, the better yields at 600 mhz will cost less, I suppose, and will help to drive sales assuming price matters. Then as yields improve, the 700 and 800 pieces come out, and on goes the process...

But if Samsung reports the OEM's are not interested in the 600 then who is buying? But perhaps this is Samsung tooting it's own horn!? Guess who will probably have the 700 and 800 mhz RDRAM to market fastest and at the best yields? Samsung I would bet.
