OT: It aint the Ricter number...it's the duration that will get you. We can see Loma Prieta (the mountain) from here, the Loma Prieta quake lasted 15 seconds they say, the ground was wiggling like jelly here for longer then that. My oldest was 8 yrs. old at the time and was outside the house, it was a very hot day. When the quake hit she said she thought dad was doing something with the tractor...but she said when she saw the wave go through the ground she knew it wasn't dad.. <gg> We had too many after shocks, they went on for days then weeks, the funny thing is...you can hear them coming.

Ah why am I telling you? You know all that already.
