Biometrics in Windows 2000 !!!
In addition to a very good article on PKI, this article provides insight to the biometric capabilities of Windows 2000.

"The client connects to a secure Web server from the certificate authority through certificate enrollment. The user can identify himself(sic) through a biometric device (a "reader"), smart card, or by a certificate saved on the PC. The client connects to the webserver, which looks up the user's public key certificate in the Windows 2000 Active Directory for authentication."
