Arbitrage

Since there is a price discrepancy between EGRP & TBFC, this creates the arbitrage situation. I expect some influence of arbitrage going on here. Mainly, some shares of EGRP are being short and simultaneously an equivalent shares of TBFC are being bought. As the deal gets closer and the chance of being done is getting higher and higher, the TBFC share price share will trade higher and at par with EGRP. The arbitrators will pocket the difference and move on. In fact, the discount gap is starting to get narrower. In other words, the expectation of this deal to become true is higher now.
