Does anyone think Compaq will EVER make a comeback?
I think their PCs and Notebooks are extremely unexciting, their prices are far from competitive, and their reseller business model doesn't work anymore.
On the business side, Dell will soon be number one, and on the consumer side, Sony and Toshiba have much more interesting products.
This market has become extremely price competitive, and will probably remain so forever.
Compaq used to at least stand for quality PCs, but the company has even lost that reputation.
All Compaq seems to stand for now is Big, Bloated and Out of Touch.
Will anybody be able to turn this ship around, and if so, whom?
