OT OT [particularly for Ramsey] Grand Poohbah, Very nice batwing rant, though you might have distilled it a bit with a short comment about terminal stupidity. On more interesting ground, it was a fine [if somewhat soggy] day at the US Open. Minus three is the number of the day (other than 119+, which is also of great interest]. I've been a Jon Koplik "what inflation?" guy for a long time, but can report the price of potables, as well as hats and assorted baubles, has gone absolutely bonkers here in the Carolina pinelands. Big crowds are well behaved so far, except for the lady at the 16th green arguing with her husband about his capacity for $5 beers while every marshall and fan within a half mile was doing their best imitation of a tire going flat. Lots of giggles anyway and nice to know my gracious hosts are connected so I can get my daily online fix.
