SharkyExtreme.com shows his ignorance: recently, the pro-Intel-bias site sharkyextreme.com has been spreading FUD about a 2M CPU K6-2 inventory overhang at AMD. Well, on the very day that Intel announces that Coppermine will not be out until November, he reports this:

Are You Ready For Coppermine?

Last time around, we hinted that Coppermine was due for a late Q3 release and by having spoken to several sources close to Intel (that phrase will come up a lot folks), it seems as though this is still the case. The .18micron CPU from Intel will not be ramped up in terms of production all that dramatically in Q4 of 1999 either.
By Q1 of next year (or the millenium if you prefer to stay Y2K compliant) Intel expects just below 50% of their CPUs to be Coppermines.
