Interesting link. That was rather profound that Yugoslavia
lost nearly as many people as Japan. The Serbs really did
fight 40 German divisions to a stalemate in Yugoslavia. I
am surprised they threw in the towel so easily. I though
that we would see a ground invasion by August. Funny that
we have turned the Serbs into the demons. In WWII, they
were about the only friend we had in the Balkans. Even
more interesting is the fact that Adolph Hitler gave Kosovo
to the Albanians as a reward for their nearly fanatical
support of the Axis powers. As a side note, the Bosnian
Muslims put together a Waffen SS division, and the Croatians
built a bunch of "Death Camps" which were so efficient in
their operations that Members of the SS were amazed at the
zeal Croatians had for stuffing Serbs, Gypsies, Jews, and
other riff-raff into the gas chambers. Funny how times
have changed.
