Walter, interesting link. Craig might be on to something with the 1" CDs. I've often wondered if technology emerging in the fiberoptic area might be adapted to yield 64 spectral quantum (64 bit word) recording on CD media. Seems that the gains in data density would make even a 1/4" CD feasible.
