It seems to me, If I remember correctly, that the Fed hiked 18 months or so before the last two Presidential elections. It's like a preemptive slow down which gives the market time to be perking up really nicely around the election. Remember, it's the economy stupid! Does anyone know where to get a time line of the interest rate adjustments in the last 7 years? Also, does anyone know where or how to get a CALENDAR YEAR chart for AOL for 1996, 1997, 1998? Is there a seasonality to the pullbacks or any other pattern?
