Bob- EVERYONE stopped checking time stamps!! This is why no one knows if it could still be FCFS! ETrade has lied to us many* times before, so I don't take anything they say on their website at face value. I think that if we can collect some data about the next few ipos, we'll be able to nail down exactly how they allocate shares. I sure as hell know it isn't pure lottery.. Hell, what are the chances of most of the thread getting shares on a pure lottery system? Some of my wilder theories involve them allocating by number of trades (to keep the customers who pay them the most money happy) or in a more likely senario, the allocate in the following order. 1) Power ETrade Platinum customers - never flipped 2) Power ETrade Platinum Customers - flippers 3) Regular Power E*Trade Customers (not platinum) - never flipped 4) reg. pwr etrd customers - flippers 5) the masses - never flipped 6) the masses - flippers Ok, I'm on a rant now, and It's time to go to the bars (At least I still have my youth, if not my sanity from this crap)
