Morning Okey,

I've been through "the more than 100-year-old Kern River field".
It's an amazing forest of pump-jacks extending as far as an eye can see. Then again, that's the nature of Kern County - oil, oil everywhere, even smack-dap in the middle of Bakersfield itself. Kid you not - there's a producing pump-jack right in the front yard of the Sheraton...(had many chats with it, seeing as you're not allowed to smoke at the bar inside)... and there must be 10 more within a five minute walking distance. Of course, the warmest feeling I got was at Lost Hills and South Belridge, what with being so close to our babies. Amazing.

Now let us pray.
