PictureWorks Announces 'Hot' Link to MediaCenter for 3Com HomeConnect PC Digital Camera Customers; MediaCenter Enhances Digital Video Images Over the Internet

DANVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 1999--PictureWorks Technology, Inc., the leading digital imaging company, today announced that 3Com Corporation (Nasdaq:COMS) is making PictureWorks' new MediaCenter software available as a FREE download from its "What's Hot" Web site exclusively for 3Com(R) HomeConnect(TM) PC digital camera customers.
This new offer follows closely on 3Com's announcement of the HomeConnect PC Digital Camera -- a high-quality portable video solution that includes PictureWorks' NetCard(TM) Pro for sending dynamic digital postcards over the Internet with e-mail, and PictureWorks Live!(TM) for users to easily create, edit and share video files.
Enhancing Visual Communications Solutions over the Internet

Visitors can download the FREE MediaCenter software and use it to seamlessly acquire and publish digital images to the World Wide Web.

MediaCenter integrates digital imaging functions and tools in an Internet Explorer browser environment, providing a click-and-view interface that lets users quickly browse, view, acquire, batch convert, edit and manage multimedia files. The software is available for Windows 95/98, and supports a wide range of file formats, including TIFF, BMP JPEG, WAV and AVI.
