Friday June 18, 11:07 am Eastern Time Qwest Communications Offers to Acquire U S WEST U S WEST INC. (DEL.) Qwest Communications Offers to Acquire U S West June 17, 1999, U S WEST Inc. (NYSE:USW - news) reported that Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq:QWST - news) offered to acquire all of the outstanding USW common stock. QWST stated that it will exchange 1.738 shares of its common stock for each share of USW common stock.
