North Carolina State Highway Patrol Becomes First State Agency To Issue Saf T Lok(R) Gun Locks WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Saf T Lok Incorporated (Nasdaq: LOCK - news) announced today that the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) has placed an order for 1500 of their Saf T Lok® gun locks. The locks will be issued to all current uniformed members of the NCSHP, making them the first State agency to issue the Saf T Lok® gun locks to all of its officers. The officers will be using the Saf T Lok® magazine lock on their department-issued, Beretta 96, semi-automatic pistols.
''We're glad to see another police department taking steps to protect its officers and their families,'' said Steve Eccher, V.P. Sales at Saf T Lok. ''It's a good feeling knowing that we play a role in enhancing the safety and peace of mind of the men and women who protect our families.''
The purchase order was the second substantial order to come through Saf T Lok's distributor, Lawmen's Safety Supply of Raleigh, North Carolina. Earlier in the year, the Cumberland County Sheriff's office in Fayetteville, NC, also placed an order through Lawmen's.
Saf T Lok Incorporated is the manufacturer of the Saf T Lok® hand gun safety locks. The Company's patented combination gun locks, for revolvers and semi-automatic handguns, become an integral part of the firearm so there is nothing to remove, no keys or rings to find and no batteries to fail. The ''touch-sensitive'' combination allows for operation of the lock -- even in the dark. Unlike trigger locks, which require guns to be unloaded, the Saf T Lok® gun locks attach to the grip or magazine of a handgun and blocks the weapon internally so it cannot be fired, even if it is loaded and the trigger pulled. Only someone who knows the combination can use the gun or remove the lock. **********************************************************************
Los Angeles Schools and North Carolina Sheriff's Department Join Growing List of Law Enforcement Agencies Issuing Saf T Lok(R) Gun Locks to Officers WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Saf T Lok Incorporated (Nasdaq: LOCK - news) announced today that the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Police Department and Cumberland County, North Carolina Sheriff's Department have purchased Saf T Lok® gun locks to equip their forces.

The LAUSD Police Department, which is assigned to assist in providing a safe environment for approximately 65,000 regular employees and 878,000 students in 910 schools and centers spanning some 700 square miles, is also purchasing Saf T Lok® gun locks for all 250 of its officers, for off-duty use.
Other prominent law enforcement agencies that have recently purchased Saf T Lok® gun locks for their officers include the Sullivan County, Indiana Sheriff's Dept., the Owen County Sheriff's Dept. and Macomb Police Department in Illinois, the Carbondale Police Dept. in Colorado, and the Miami Springs Police Dept. and Key Biscayne Police Dept. in Florida. The Company has also received its first orders through the recently awarded GSA contract from U.S. Customs Headquarters and the Inspector General's Office, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. ********************************************************************** Just my views. |
