Herr Baker: it's not only our international friends who have to suffer through wretched English!! How many students these days emerge from high schools with many having been forced to suffer through a liberal please-don't-test-me-because-if-I-don't-get-a-perfect-score-my-feelings-and-self-esteem-would-be-permanently-scared education? To my mind it's a tremendous disservice to those younger folk to poorly equip them with the skills they need to succeed. A fortunate few do survive and prosper, but many are ill prepared. One reality for them is that when I receive a CV/cover letter with mistakes - it goes into the trash bin along with their application. Such is life, David :)
