Recochem is structured as two divisions - International and Consumer. Mr. Kuchar still assumes the Chairmanship of the company and manages the International Division, which specializes in the export of bulk chemicals.
Our Consumer Division blends and packages a wide variety of automotive liquids, paint sundries, solvents and deodorizers. Many of these products are packaged under major retail brand names and a good portion is sold in the U.S. Because of our mastery of co-extrusion technology, we also have the advantage of having country-wide facilities for blowing our own multi-wall bottles.
We are highly automated and proud of our ability to meet customer needs quickly and with the highest quality product. We have also never had to "downsize", preferring slow, steady growth, continuous improvement and participation in industry and community issues. All our sites in Canada and Australia are ISO 9002, and we look forward to Responsible Care verification at our Montreal site.
Last year, we saw major expansion at two of our sites - a trend that continues today. Because we recently acquired production rights from Dow Chemicals for the manufacture of antifreeze/coolant, our Alberta plant has grown and we will, in a short time, become the premiere supplier of aftermarket automotive coolants. At the same time, we continue to expand our product line and increase our level of exports.
