The results are still out yet on my babies. I think I've said before that CW will either wind up doing great things or in jail. We laughed about that when the principal called two days before graduation to tell us about his online magazine. Here we were just about to take a deep breath and pat ourselves on the back, and boom.

I think the key words in your paragraph were "No one who really loved me". Would I be being incredibly naive and simplistic to say that I think most of the issues we are talking about lose a lot of their "rightness" or "wrongness" when that one ingredient is added to the theories?

Well, that and the repressive culture- I forget that you are a little older than I, and spent many years in a society that was run with very rigid rules. I fell right into the transition of the 60s as I went to college. It was a very confusing and even frightening time for a little protected Catholic girl. I think it was very hard for me to think life was one way and then have it turned upside down just as I took my first steps into it as a semi-adult. Like that barrelwalk in Ripley's--I lost my equilibrium and fell a lot. But at least I was given the chance to rework and rethink it all before I had to deal with it as a true adult. You must have felt like a misfit an awful lot of the time.
